Angelo Powers

A young local talent, Angelo Powers aka Mico Angelo Aseron’s powers of persuasion are about as powerful as his ardor on stage.

Born in 1995 into a musical family, he began singing at the age of 5 in his local church. Angelo received classical piano training at the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique in Geneva, and later a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Singing, as well as a Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.

Through the Little Dreams foundation, Angelo has also rubbed shoulders with international artists such as Phil Collins, Jermaine Jackson, Natalie Cole and Youssou N’Door. He appeared on television on Nouvelle Star, then in 2016 on The Voice France. Thanks to the exposure he gained on this TV talent show, he was offered the opportunity to sing the theme song for Reem Kherici’s Netflix film “Jour J”.

This musical background enabled him to cultivate and experiment with different styles. Angelo Powers’ musical universe reflects his various influences, from neo-soul to jazz, gospel and hip-hop, as well as funk and groove.
